Hallstattpieces are expressive interpretations of ancient forms. To give the work a vital character I keep the traces of the hand building process visible. In its raw state I paint considerate yet forceful with vibrant colours inspired by the beauty of the plumage of birds.
Capriccio, 2015-2019
CAPRICCIO
Brush strokes. Fields of colour.
Drops fall from brush. Scratch runs through.
Lines go up and down and around.
Capriccio – a fusion of my passion for abstract painting and my love for ceramics.
Materials used: White earthenware, coloured slips, glaze

The Nests are abstract constructs of interior and exterior spaces. The delicate structure refers to the idea of the desire to hide and look for shelter inside and offers a space to seclude oneself from the outside world. At the same time the Nests stand for the fragility of home and the tangibility of its architecture.
