Françoise Joris: Nerikomi, 2018-2020
After multiple color trials in the mass, I discovered Nerikomi’s techniques.
I adapted these techniques to my work to obtain fine lines of color that rub shoulders, repeat and sometimes stop.
There is an infinite number of combinations and nuances of colors opening the door to multiple variations.
The use of color gives movement and expression to my artworks, it is a way to energize the material to make it more attractive while keeping its nobility.
