Administrative Assistant – Ceramics Studio at the University of Louisville, Louisville, KY

The Arts and Sciences Art & Design department is hiring a full-time Ceramics Studio Assistant. This position will work closely with the Assistant Professor in Ceramics to support the overall functioning of the Ceramics Studio. This role involves replenishing materials, maintaining studio hygiene, improving organization, and performing other tasks as needed.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Grade 1 Hourly)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Mixing clay from scratch weekly
• Mixing glazes and slips from scratch as needed
• Maintaining excellent studio hygiene through regular mopping and surface cleaning
• Unloading and stocking dry materials
• Improving organization and signage
• Maintaining a thorough and accurate materials inventory
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience as a Studio Assistant in Ceramics
• Prior experience with clay and glaze calculation
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal communication skills

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
