Susan Phillips
Susan Phillips was born in Bedford, UK in 1978.
From 1996 to 1999 she studied a BA hons In Studio Ceramics at Falmouth College of Arts in Cornwall. Having established a studio in rural North Herefordshire after leaving College, Susan has developed her visual language and making skills alongside raising her two children.
Since 2013 she has been able to commit more time to exhibiting, winning the Gold medal for Craft and Design at the National Eisteddfod of Wales in 2014 and exhibiting throughout the UK.
Working in collaboration with design projects has led to her work being shown in both Los Angeles and Milan.
As a visual artist her work has been informed by an interest in architecture and minimalism.
In 2017 Susan received the International VIA Art Prize, and went on to exhibit Constructed Geometries, her solo exhibition at the Brazilian Embassy in 2018. Her work is represented in the collection of the Embassy of Brazil in London.
