Caolin is the only contemporary ceramics festival in Romania and one of the largest in Eastern Europe. The Caolin Association organizes the festival in collaboration with the CeramArt Foundation – which has organized five editions of the Cluj International Ceramics Biennale. These two organizations are among the only ones in Romania with a dedicated mission to promote ceramic art, encourage cooperation among ceramic artists, and provide the public with the opportunity to interact with this medium.
